DAY 1:

Your holiday begins as you fly to the across the Atlantic and stay overnight in a US airport hotel. Typical US hubs to Belize include Atlanta, Houston, Miami or Newark.

DAY 2:

Fly into Belize at around mid-day and transfer to your hotel on the banks of Old River. En route, visit the nearby Baboon Sanctuary – actually a sanctuary for Howler Monkeys.

DAY 3:

Travel up the river to the Maya ruins of Lamanai. The river trip is a great opportunity for spotting wildlife along the banks and in the water.

DAY 4:

Travel from Burrell Boom over to Belize’s rainforest – the Cayo District, which is the largest out of the 6 districts in Belize.

DAY 5:

Enjoy a guided day trip to the largest of Belize’s Maya sites – Caracol – a sister city to both Tikal in Guatemala & Chichen Itza in Mexico

DAY 6:

Day at leisure. Options include horse-back riding,visit to Xunantunich, explore the ATM Cave, bird-watching, hiking & mountain biking.

DAY 7:

Transfer to the coast for a 3-night stay in the small Garifuna town of Hopkins. En route enjoy some cave-tubing – one of Belize’s ‘must-do’ activities.

DAYS 8 & 9:

Time at leisure in Hopkins to relax on the beach or mix with the locals in this vibrant, laid-back town. Hopkins is home to around 1,000 villagers.

DAY 10:

Travel to Punta Gorda, the capital of Belize’s southern Toledo District. Stay overnight in a Maya community.

DAYS 11 & 12:

Time at leisure to explore Punta Gorda. Go hiking, cave swimming, explore the local community or take a boat down Monkey River to spot wildlife.

DAY 13:

Take a short-hop domestic flight over to Caye Caulker, Belize’s most laid-back of islands.

DAY 14:

Take a boat across to Ambergris Caye, or go snorkelling along the world’s second-longest Barrier Reef.

DAY 15:

Short-hop domestic flight to Belize City International Airport, ahead of your international flights home.
